You can reach the Settings menu by clicking on the top bar at the gear icon. The most important and most frequently used menu under Settings is the Safety menu. You should, before every first flight and new mission, verify, and, if necessary, adjust the Failsafe settings in this menu:
- Define the actions that the drone should perform if the battery reaches a low or critical voltage threshold (Battery Failsafe) or the drone loses its connection with the remote controller (General Failsafe triggers). The most important action is Return to Launch, which means that the drone automatically flies back to the launching point.
- Under the Return to Launch submenu, you should always choose a safe altitude for the drone when flying in Return to Launch mode.
- You can also decide which altitude the drone should fly at when returning to an interrupted mission (Settings > Safety > Return to Mission).
- Under Settings > Safety > Tank is Empty you can define what the drone should do if the tank is empty: continue the mission without spraying, change to Loiter mode, or Return to Launch.
- You can turn on the Emergency Jump. If this function is turned on, you can manually raise the drone during an automatic flight if he/she identifies an unregistered obstacle or if the drone unexpectedly begins to descend. The drone will rise as long as the pilot pushes the left control stick up.
- IMPORTANT: There are a few settings that you should never change. The critical and low voltage thresholds should remain the same as the factory settings. All the Arming checks are necessary for the safe operation of the drone. Do not remove any of the options checked in by default.
In the General settings, you can change the scaling and the color scheme (light or dark) of the ABZ Control application.
Under the Payload menu, you can change the settings for manual spraying, which can be used to clean the spraying system. The test spinner PWM value will change the CDA’s speed, resulting in a droplet size change. Cleaning and flushing the spray system are recommended with the Test Pump PWM at 1900 and the Test Spinner PWM at 1100 and 1900 (the lowest and highest CDA rotation).
Under the Settings > Help, you can find the contact information for the ABZ Innovation support center.
