The ABZ Innovation Spreading System is designed to spread seeds, feed, fertilizer, and deicing agents. The system ensures the thorough planning and precise execution of the sowing and spreading.
The Spreading System is compatible with the ABZ Innovation L10 PRO and ABZ Innovation M12 drones. The granules you want to spread should be between 0,5-6 mm in diameter. DO NOT use the spreader with other sizes of materials. Since the different kinds of materials you will use have different characteristics, before spreading, you need to make some calculations to determine the optimal spreader settings.
ABZ Innovation provides you with a table for the calculation process. With the help of the table, you can not only determine the optimal speed for the spreader disk for your chosen material but also calculate the proper disc and valve settings for specified flight values (spacing, speed and amount/hectare) and determine the distance the drone will fly with the given mass of spreading material. (In the future, these calculations will be implemented in the ABZControl Software).
In the first step of the calculation process (and every time you will spread), you need to equip the drone with the spreader. This is a simple process:
- Remove the spraying tank connector if it is installed on the drone.
(Unscrew the three fastening screws and disconnect the pipe of the spraying tank). - Insert the spreader tank. The angled side of the tank points towards the rare cover of the drone.
- Attach the spreading unit from under the drone. Align the three hand knob screws with the indentations on the tank. The cables should point toward the rare left side of the drone.
- Remove the rubber cap from the drone’s connectors. Plug in the 4-pin cable to the empty-tank sensor and the 11-pin cable to the drone connector. For the correct alignment of the connector’s male and female sides, follow the guidance of the notches. Secure the connectors with the nuts.
During the calculation process measure the quantities as precisely as possible. Place the drone on a stand. Place a box with at least 10 kilograms capacity under the spreader.
- Power on the remote controller and the drone.
- Weight out 10 kilograms of the chosen material (e.g. fertilizer).
- Pour the 10 kilograms of the chosen material into the spreader tank.
- In the baseline measurement we are looking for the PWM value, where the emptying of the tank takes 20 sec.
- With the help of this value and three additional measurements the table will calculate the proper settings for your spreading route.
